Snap, Shoot and Share – A Winners Story
We know how busy community groups are and finding time to enter competitions can feel like a challenge. But we wanted to share this brilliant story from one of our recent Snap, Shoot and Share winners to show just how much of a difference that extra funding can make.
Jenny Crawford, CEO of Wellbeing Plus, said: “It felt amazing to win this additional funding. As a person that never wins anything ever it was a real buzz to win the money for our groups.
“Running a charity and searching for funding is no easy task, but we have been fortunate enough to receive funding from your organisation among others and this has helped us to grow from strength to strength.”
Their £500 Snap, Shoot and Share winnings were spent on craft items including card, glue, embellishments, fabrics and 3D model kits. They now run 11 craft groups every week and continue to add more as their community grows.
Any funding Wellbeing Plus receive, including their Snap, Shoot and Share winnings, has a huge impact on the people they support. It helps them offer a friendly and welcoming space for people who may have nowhere else to go. Their participants are able to create wonderful craft projects they can take home and feel a sense of pride for what they have achieved.
By taking part in their groups, people are making friends, feeling part of the community again and enjoying a better quality of life.
Jenny added: “I would recommend you guys to everyone. Especially for your beneficiaries to submit some photos of their groups into your prize draw. I never expected to win but everyone was chuffed to bits when we did.”
If your group has received Tees Foundation funding, we would love to see your photos or videos for the next Snap, Shoot and Share competition draw.
Thank you so much Wellbeing Plus for sharing your story.
