Children and young people affected by Autism and ADHD are disproportionately effected by mental health issues and currently there is a significant lack of direct support for these problems as they relate to Autism and ADHD directly.
The Glowsticks Project seeks to provide a safe space to support children and young people to develop a sense of self worth early in their formative years by working with children as young as 2 right through to 25, creating a place to foster friendship, develop social skills, build confidence and celebrate differences!
“Through providing specialist activities with highly specialist providers, The Glowsticks Project will provide skills and friendships for life – not just for children and young people but also for parent carers,” said
“Whilst their children are busy enjoying the provisions supported by specialist staff, parent carers can relax, utilise our cafe facilities and start creating their own network of support and even opportunities for the children and young people to continue friendships outside of The Glowsticks Project.”
